MSEdgeRedirect will redirect news, search, and weather results to your default browser. MSEdgeRedirect works by filtering and passing the command line arguments of Microsoft Edge processes into your default browser instead of hooking into the microsoft-edge: handler. By doing it that way, it should provide resiliency against future changes. MSEdgeRedirect is a K.I.S.S. app, meaning that there are no steps for use, just set and forget. If you are looking for something to use on older Windows builds, then EdgeDeflector is a good choice.
