Dryad is a real time log analysis daemon that is based on some the concepts and work of the now largely defunct LogSentry project. It runs much as a normal syslog daemon would, receiving syslog messages over the network. Messages are handed off to a processing subroutine that compares it to a set of regular expressions, attempting to determine the severity of the message.
