There are now a host of software mobile apps that allow you to search in ultra-fast time through the contacts, phone numbers and email addresses of your mobile phone. They all work in a similar way: type in the first letter of a first name or surname, their initials, and quickly get to the phone number you want to call. But now here's something a little different. And I'm not really sure how useful it is! Phone2People is a search engine that promises it is not a basic white pages search, which usually means it is. However, I've always turned to phone directories when I don't have the phone number I need to call, which is not the way Phone2People works. The search facility allows you to look for contacts' addresses and names - records that are already in the public domain - so long as you already have a phone number. The thing is the only use I can think of for this is if I received a call from a number I didn't recognise and I wanted to check it. But then I'd just the phone number.
