1. Please use the AWDFLASH v8.24F flash utility to update the KV8-MAX3 BIOS. 2. First release for KV8. 3. Removed AGP Ratio item. 4. Updated Full Screen Logo for KV8-MAX3 & KV8. 5. BIOS compile date: 03/04/2004 Specifications: With OTES cooling and exclusive РјGuru cooling technology, the KV8 takes the best features of the KV8-MAX3, and puts it in an affordable package for the Athlon 64 enthusiast. The KV8 is based on the same VIA K8T800 chipset of its more expensive sibling, and packs cutting edge features including 2 Channel SATA RAID (0/1) and 6 channel audio with a professional digital audio interface supporting S/PDIF In and Out. What's more, Gigabit LAN and ABIT's SoftMenu rounds out an already impressive package. OTES Cooling System In the interests of cooling and performance, OTES has been redesigned to cool the hottest part of a motherboard: the PWM power regulation mosfets and capacitors. РјGuru РјGuru is a new microprocessor designed by the ABIT Engineers for use only on ABIT motherboards. РјGuru combines the ABIT Engineered features ABIT EQ, ABIT FanEQ, ABIT OC Guru, ABIT FlashMenu, ABIT AudioEQ and ABIT BlackBox into a user-friendly interface providing users the perfect environment with which to maximize performance and stability. Hyper Transport Technology 1600MHz HyperTransport technology is a high-speed, low latency, point-to-point link designed to increase the communication speed between integrated circuits in computers, servers, embedded systems, and networking and telecommunications equipment up to 48 times faster than some existing technologies. USB 2.0 Supports speeds up to 480 Mb/sec, approximately forty times faster than conventional USB 1.1. Gigabit LAN Lets you easily connect to the world wide web at high speeds without having to buy a separate 10/100 Ethernet card. SATA 150 Serial ATA is an evolutionary replacement for the Parallel ATA storage interface. This new high-speed interface boosts data transfer rates to up to 150 MB/sec. More flexible power tolerances allow for smaller and more efficient cables. S/PDIF In/Out Lets you enjoy 6-channel audio without having to buy advanced sound cards. AGP 8X AGP 8X standard for enhanced graphics performance.
