To Safely Remove the Adapter * Do this to pull out the adapter before upgrading (or whenever you physically disconnect it): 1. Mouse over the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the Windows system tray. 2. Single-click the icon. A list of removable devices appears. (If you double-click, or if using Windows 2000, a large pop-up window appears, which can also be used.) 3. Double-click the Safely Remove line with your adapter in it. 4. Pull the adapter out
